A bicycle dealer became aware of the hazard potential for his own business after a fire or damage incident triggered by lithium batteries in a company known to him.
Upon receipt of goods, the lithium-ion batteries are stored in a BATTERY station XL safety cabinet. A locker ensures that only specially trained employees have access to the critical batteries.
The battery type incl. year of manufacture, capacity and defined quarantine duration is entered into the DÜPERTHAL connect inventory management system.
After the quarantine time has expired, the DÜPERTHAL connect application reports by e-mail that the battery can be put to further use.
When the battery is used, it is checked out of the storage management system, either temporarily to a specified location or finally out of the system, e.g. handed over to the supplier.
