TIME FOR DIGITALIZATION
Room for progress
A 2021 study by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA examined the level of digitalization in life-science laboratories. It shows that non-value-adding activities take up a great deal of time for laboratory staff and managers every day.
Part of the daily working time is devoted to non-value-adding activities, e.g., inventory recording or documentation.
The daily non-value-adding activities and challenges affect the management level
In addition to examining which challenges and non-value-adding tasks laboratory employees and managers face daily, it was also investigated whether there is a connection to the current level of digitalization, networking, and automation. The result: employees increasingly desire a paperless laboratory.

DÜPERTHAL connect provides and documents current information about your hazardous substances digitally - this creates transparency, relief, and employee satisfaction. In this way, non-value-adding tasks can be minimized and additional leeway for employees can be created through new processes. The result: an increase in time to leverage expertise in the various specialist areas more efficiently.
