Use-Case
eBikes / eScooter Trade

A bicycle retailer has been sensitized by a fire or damage incident caused by lithium batteries at a business owner he knows and has transferred the potential hazard to his own business.

Two men examine a bicycle in a store, discussing its features. Two men are discussing and examining a bicycle, pointing at its components in a workshop setting.

THE RESULT? A NEW WORKFLOW!

Upon receipt of goods, the lithium-ion batteries are stored in a safety cabinet BATTERY station XL. A lockable compartment ensures that only specially trained employees have access to the critical batteries.

The battery type, including year of manufacture, capacity and defined quarantine period, is entered into the inventory management of DÜPERTHAL connect.

The DÜPERTHAL connect application sends an e-mail after the quarantine period has ended, stating that the battery can be put back into service.

When put into use, the battery is checked out of inventory management, either temporarily to a designated location of use or permanently removed from the system, e.g. handed over to the supplier.
